Once opened, keep in a cool place–we don’t put them in the fridge as the syrup gets thick and very hard. Putting them in a closet or other cool place has worked best for us.

I’ve been watching the show since it started, and I must say it has turned me into a more special type of cocktail drinker, I care more about how the drink is made and the appearance as well as the aroma than just my before in high school self whom just drank to get drunk with friends. There’s a reason all the hipster neo-traditional cocktail bars use Luxardo cherries: they look and taste like candied cherries. Dark, dense, sweet. They’re expensive, yes, but they’re worth it, and for a home bar they’ll last you a while.
The price here at AwesomeDrinks.com is good (it’s possible to find these online for much *more* at other places!), and the service and shipping seems solid enough.

I have tried other cocktail cherries but none compare. All Luxardo products are fantastic. If the cherry liquid is too sweet, just rinse some of it off under cold water. And make sure the jar is firmly closed. They don’t like moisture

These are nothing like what you would normally think of as the americanized version that we see in the grocery stores today. These cherries are excellent in terms of flavor, texture, and taste. They are a perfect balance of sweet and tart that goes excellent in any drink. The only downside to them is that they are somewhat expensive, but still worth it.

Growing up with the bleached and dyed cherries, I was never a fan of having them on my ice cream or cocktails. But these are awesome, taste so good! Aren’t fake looking/tasting at all.

Like many others before, I grew up with the bright red maraschino cherries with their sickly sweet syrup and taste. I saw these on Common Man Cocktails and was intrigued. They have a deep red color with a nice firm texture. The syrup isn’t sickly sweet like it’s red counterpart and can easily be added to any drink. Their not cheap, but go and pull the trigger and get a jar, you won’t be disappointed.

If you are looking for an upper scale cherry to enhance your cocktails, give these a try. They are dark, deep and so flavorful. They are still maraschino cherries though, so it’s important to note that the cherries have that same texture. What a treat!

When I ordered these it was purely out of curiosity. I wasn’t expecting much, but I was wrong! These are amazing! So much better than those bright red cocktail cherries that you’ll find at the supermarket. I was a little concerned with the price, but you get what you pay for and these are good. As a bonus, I have found the left over syrup to be a tasty addition to drinks. Lemonade with a spoonful of cherry syrup is delicious! Will buy again.
